Smart and resilient cities for an innovative society

This MSc label prepares students to develop urban areas by integrating energy use and efficiency, the use of new energies and technologies, and environmental planning into their thinking.
The training also enables future professionals to become involved in the design of complex, multidisciplinary city projects by developing a holistic approach and blending technological and social parameters.
Our modern and pragmatic curriculum, combining architecture and engineering, personal development and technical expertise, trains professionals capable of producing these collaborative outcomes.

Program objectives

Objectives of the program:
– Develop skills in the analysis and planning of eco-neighbourhoods and know how to design an urban project with an environmental approach.

– Integrate co-design approaches, collaborative work and team management in order to develop innovative solutions.

– Be able to communicate internationally and master the transversal and multidisciplinary approach of urban projects.

– Have a general culture related to planning and resource management (energy, water, transportation, etc.).

– Be aware of energy issues and their application to buildings; knowledge about renewable energies, their production and distribution methods.

– Use software and tools for eco-construction and energy efficiency.

Duration : 2 years (120 ECTS credits)

Admission Prerequisite
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Architecture or Urban Planning
  • English B2 level certified by an official test (IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL IBT or FIRST), except students from countries where English is an official language
  • French is NOT required for admission to English-taught programs, but is highly recommended

You must bring your own computer when you arrive at JUNIA as we do not have computers to borrow.

A recognized dipoma

The Smart and Resilient Program prepares students to obtain the JUNIA HEI engineering degree.

This degree awarded after 2 years of study is recognized by the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (CGE).

JUNIA is a non-profit association, with EESPIG certification. The EESPIG qualification distinguishes us from other private establishments, as an establishment recognized as being of general interest (participation in public service missions and disinterested management of our activities). In other words: the only profit sought is that of our students in their development within their training and the development of their professional project.
